GROUNDSMAN FISH RELEASED FROM
DUTIES
After
Ljubljana Cricket Club veteran member Steve Fish
was appointed chief groundsman ahead of the
visit of St Anne's Allstars CC from the UK, big
things were expected in the ongoing renovation
of Ljubljana's lovely Valburga oval. When
accused of not taking his new designated duties
seriously enough by other club members he pulled
out of the XI for Saturday's game claiming that
he was suffering from "a tender calf muscle"
picked up in a recent Lacrosse tournament. This
correspondent has been met with a suspicious
silence when attempting to contact Mr Fish on
the matter.
