FIRST SOUTHERN LEAGUE MATCH VS GRAZ CANCELLED

Due to a particularly wet week and an ominous forecast for the next few days our first league match has been cancelled. Although Ljubljana were still keen to play, Velden's groundsman decided that the match would not be able to go ahead. Ljubljana and Graz are both awarded 6 points. We are all naturally very disappointed, but hopefully we can get a good result against Salzburg next week instead.

Local player Simon Kaučič played his first game of cricket yesterday vs Munich CC. He held on to a vicious drive to claim a great catch and then followed that with 3 for 32 off 5 overs. Later on he added 6 runs in his debut innings. This was easily the best debut figures by a totally new player in our club's history.
