Ljubljana player to score a century for the club with 100 not out (including
4 massive 6s) .Unfortunately it wasn't enough as we failed by 2 runs in

MEŽICA SINGLE WICKET TOURNAMENTS
Chatting with founder Borut
Čegovnik during last week's match we discovered that Mežica Cricket Club has
been quietly continuing their "single-wicket" tournaments they held in the
70s and 80s. Mežica are keen to perform well in their match against Maribor
CC next week as can be seen by these great pictures.

NEW
BOOK ON EUROPEAN CRICKET (Includes SLOVENIA)

"SLOGGING THE SLAVS" by ANGUS BELL.
Angus
visited both Ljubljana and Mežica cricket clubs in 2005 and the story of his
adventures has just been published. He has promised us a funny and
entertaining read on Eastern European (including us) cricket.
Hugo Rifkind from The Times described it as
being "Very funny. Dave Gorman meets Andrew Flintoff in clothes borrowed
from Billy Connolly." If that isn't enough incentive, well - we are in it!
